Why are insurance companies more likely to cover Viagra than birth control?

 

Question: I have been hearing statistics that only about 20% of insurance companies cover the pill, while more than 80% cover Viagra! What can i do about this?

Response: We agree that ALL birth control options and prescriptions should be covered by ALL insurance plans. We support efforts to get legislation for this passed. You can help too! Please visit Prochoiceaction's campaign to get the Prevention First bills passed that would support these efforts. Right your U.S. Senator and Representative and ask them to co-sponsor and vote for this legislation.
