Monique's Story

I am 25 years old and I had an abortion at 9 weeks because I was suffering from Hyperemesis (severe nausea and vomiting). I thought I would be able to handle it but the worries of not being able to take care of myself and protect the health of my baby took it's course. I lost 20 pounds in two weeks and it seemed like it was getting worse as the days went by. It was a very hard decision and I cry about it everyday. I'm trying to cope with my decision. I'm afraid of my future pregnancies because it could happen again. I'm not sure I'll ever be ready to go through that again.
