Pandora's Box

I am anxious for the day when this illness is pushed into the background noise of my life. It's screaming so loud right now, its cries annoy me so much, because I cannot hear what else is going on. I keep trying to push it back into the box, squash it flat, silence it. It keeps forcing its way back out, insisting I confront it, demanding my attention and time.
