The Visit to Brazil, October 1997

And he, in a glass house, shouts out:
"over the woman's I decide!"
And he commanded men and their kind
to keep her in chains and to not
while the sun is light set her free.
And he dies not with her
in the backstreets in the dark
where glass lie crushed
and where he and his angels
fear to tread.
